MAY MUST GO - WE NEED A GENERAL ELECTION

Dominic Grieve is a first class idiot, who clearly lives in the Westminster bubble.   But the Government's loss of the vote may turn out for the best. The Tories need to increase their majority led by a true Brexiteer.  I believe that there would now be great support for a leader who dared to go to the Country.  We are being messed about something terrible by the EU.

WE WILL NEVER LEAVE THE EU

3 million EU workers are cock-a-hoop today.  They will all be demanding their equal rights and will get the European Courts on our backs if they are dissatisfied for any reason.  And what about their relatives?  They are going to be a problem for a very long time.

IMPACT STATEMENTS - YOU MUST BE JOKING !!!

Ted Heath never did impact statements before we went into the EU or Common Market.  It was his bee in his bonnet, just an idea.  If Ted Heath COULD have done impact statements that predicted the future, we would never have gone in, knowing what we know now.  The impact on our housing, traffic, NHS, jobs, factories, and education, among many things, has been absolutely devastating.  We have given up so much in jobs and skills.

WE MUST CUT LOOSE FROM THE EU

We are going to be dragged down by the bureaucracy of the Brussels.  There is only one way, and that is OUT - a clean break! It can't come soon enough.

Saturday, 2 December 2017

COME AND SEE THE BUILDING CHAOS IN NUNEATON

You will also experience the resulting traffic chaos.  The building and traffic chaos are the  result of EU migration, let alone the increased waiting times for NHS operations.  A cities worth of people are coming to the UK every year from the EU.  This is unsustainable.

3 MILLION EU WORKERS IN THE UK - WHERE IS THE FAIRNESS?

If 2 million went back home that would equalise the number of EU workers living here and UK people (who are not necessarily workers) living an ALL the countries of the EU (which in itself is unfair, as there is no balance of people between the UK and each of the other countries).  What we have is an unregulated free for all, and the UK is the big loser.  Why!!!  Because if the 2 million EU workers left, we would immediately solve the housing crisis and the NHS funding crisis. So what do we need the EU workers for, if not to make money for a few people?

MADE IN BRITAIN (NOT CHINA, GERMANY, JAPAN OR ANYWHERE ELSE)

How I long to see that sign!  We need to get back to making things again, such as washing machines, cookers, fridges, radios, televisions, tractors, cars, cameras, computers, mobile phones, aircraft, ships, submarines, agricultural equipment and anything else, however small, that we buy as individuals or as a nation.  Successive Governments have watched idly as our industries have been destroyed.

SHE SAYS WE ARE LEAVING THE EU, BUT NOT LEAVING EUROPE

This is political double speak.  She has been a remainer all along and so has Hammond.  We are being led to destruction.  She dances to the EU's tune.

WE ARE RUNNING OUT OF TIME

The Government talks about having an industrial strategy, when it doesn't have one. There is no-one in the Government capable of coming-up with a sound strategy.  We are being led into oblivion by a group of professional politicians who know nothing of industry.  They may be clever speakers, or good at arguing, but none of them has ever done a real job.  How many politicians are there who were scientists or engineers?  We are living on borrowed time.  When I see three women sitting together at the centre of PMQs, I have to wonder what has happened to the men?   MPs are diverted from their jobs and preoccupied with talk of sex, a sure sign of the decline of a nation.  Unless we see some radical changes in our Government, this country is doomed.  MPs live in a Westminster and London  bubble.  The Houses of Parliament should be turned into a history museum.  Parliament is a dog fight. It should be accommodated in a modern building where civilised discussion can occur.  Its location should be in the centre of the country.  Reality might set in.

WOULD MRS MAY WANT THE ARMY SURROUNDING THE SCOTTISH PARLIAMENT?

Mrs May and the British Government are inconsistent.  On the one hand they and the EU support the Spanish Government's approach to the Catalan problem.  But what would they say if the Scots wanted another independence referendum?  From past records, the Government and the EU would oppose it.  What if the Scots went ahead with a referendum, regardless of the Government and the EU, and won a large majority in favour of independence?   Would she and the Government, with the EU's blessing, send the army to surround the Scottish Parliament building, sack all the members of the Scottish Parliament, and put in their own puppet replacements?

Where is democracy today?  Biggest is not best.  Small is beautiful.

THE CATALAN PARLIAMENT SAYS YES TO INDEPENDENCE - HOORAY!!!!

With increasing populations everywhere, many are feeling ignored, and calls for independence will come.  Congratulations to the Catalonians.  I wish them the very best.  Mrs May couldn't bring herself to do the same, like the mean-mouthed lot of the EU.  The behaviour of the king, and the prime minister of Spain is like that of the Spanish Inquisition.

Scotland will hopefully follow the Catalonians.

The prime minister condones spending more and more on London and ignores the areas to the north of it.

WHICH LARGE EMPLOYERS??????

Come on, own up!!!!!  Which big employers are we supposed to take notice of?????  Who is seeking a transition deal that continues as though we had never left the EU?????  These are the wishes of traitors.

THE EU HAS SCREWED-UP ANY NEGOTIATIONS FROM THE START

Today the BBC site showed a photograph of Merkel and Macron, each covering their mouths at the same time, with May in the middle, head bowed, apparently listening.  Whatever the reason these EU leaders had for covering their mouths, it looked as though May was being stitched-up.  The EU has dictated the order of negotiations from the start, and she has accepted their terms. The British should have stated what it wanted, at least as an opening position, including trade.  It should have refused to start negotiations under the conditions imposed by the EU.  No-one in their right mind would even begin to negotiate without an idea of what they were going to get.  A deal is not necessary.  Lawson and Redwood are right.  We could just go without a deal and trade under WTO rules.  After leaving and starting to trade under WTO rules, we could agree any other relations with the EU.   We would probably have to trade under WTO rules with other countries, not in the EU, in any case.

WE NEED A WARTIME SPIRIT

It is clear that the EU is going to mess us about for as long as possible.  We will probably have to take knocks both before and after we come out of the EU.  But the British people can face adversity if they do the right thing. This means cutting loose from the monster that is the EU, negotiating with other countries outside of the EU, designing and building our own complete products once more, being more self-sufficient, with food for example.  The recent Bombardier experience is a good example of how our aircraft industry has become dependent on the fortunes of other countries.

We have done it before we went into the EU and we can do it again when we come out of it. The  labour party should be pleased that it would release the potential of British workers.  We should never have been led into the EU in the first place.  Over the years I have seen hundreds of companies and good jobs go from the Midlands area as a consequence of the EU and its emphasis on globalism.

The effect on the environment would be positive when we come out of the EU.  The reduction in transport would be considerable with fewer lorries and fewer ships from China having to come into the UK.

NO INDUSTRIAL STRATEGY FROM LABOUR OR CONSERVATIVES

Both parties propose to spend money as though it really does grow on trees but they don't say how we are going to earn it.  Unless someone comes up with a strong industrial policy for Britain we are headed for poverty.  The bankers won't save us, Mark Carney won't save us (what a waste of time he is), and nor will the city.

Sunday, 24 September 2017

WHEN ARE WE GOING TO GET AN INDUSTRIAL STRATEGY?

All the talk about leaving the EU is a waste of breath, time and money.  We should leave the EU now.  The Government needs to lay out its strategy for business with a particular emphasis on support and promotion for manufacturing.  In short I am calling for a second indigenous industrial revolution, done better, with care for the environment and the individual.  Professor David Bailey is a wimp.

ITS TIME TO TAKE A RUNNING JUMP

Are we going to allow ourselves to be dragged for ever through the gutter by the bureaucrats from the EU.  It certainly looks that way.  The time is right to take a running jump, while the going is good.  EIGHT  BILLION TO SUPPORT EU STAFF IS RIDICULOUS.  THE SIZE OF THE EU BUILDINGS HORRIFIES ME.

Tuesday, 19 September 2017

WE NEED TO BE AN INDEPENDENT COUNTRY

We must get back to how we were - an independent manufacturing country.  A country about which we could be proud, not dissimilar from Germany, making complete products.  I trust neither the city nor the Labour Party to save us.   I think that Boris may well have the leadership required. The other mealy-mouthed lot, you know, May and Hammond & company, don't have it.

Wednesday, 16 August 2017

WHY AREN'T WE A MANUFACTURING COUNTRY?

Why is it that the experts that appear on the BBC Business program are knowledgeable about the global economy, while they ignore what is going on in the country?  The rest of the country doesn't want to know about the global economy.  Is it the London bubble effect?  They think they are masters of the world.  We will keep you informed about business they say.  Well why don't they get up off their backsides and go into the country and find out what business is like, and make this a feature of each day's programme. They should promote the manufacturing industries, particularly those firms who make things, and don't simply assemble from imported parts.  We need to get back to the time when we could manufacture everything in a product.

Saturday, 12 August 2017

WE SHOULD NATIONALISE TATA STEEL

The Government should nationalise TATA Steel before it is lost altogether to the German steel industry.  Will this be yet another of hundreds of factories or industries that successive Governments have let slip through their fingers?

CARNEY - MR UNCERTAINTY!

Mr Carney has a worried frown.  Of course businesses and individuals feel uncertain about the future. The uncertainty weighs upon people, let alone the economy.  With an uncertain economic climate, we will see the flight of some businesses to other countries. But you don't have to be the Governor of the Bank of England to foresee that.  It seems that Mr Carney agrees with the Government, or rather Mr Hammond who is trying to rub the doom and gloom in.  While the uncertainty exists, for example if there is a transition period that extends the uncertainty, these trends will continue.  So it is better to get rid of the uncertainty, and get out of the EU now!!!  Mr Carney, why do you have to be so negative?  Are you really a Remainer?  Why can't you be more positive about Britain leaving the EU?  Do you want Brexit to work or not?  As you well know, uncertainty has a very positive side.

HAMMOND DOESN'T WANT THE UK TO COMPETE WITH THE EU

This was about low taxes imposed on foreign companies wishing to invest in the UK. In a recent interview, Mr Hammond said: "I often hear it said that the UK is considering participating in unfair competition in regulation and tax" ... "That is neither our plan nor our vision for the future." So would the UK compete with the EU? The gutless Mr Hammond hasn't realised what business is all about. Yes it will compete. But not just for inward investment. Mr Hammond, we will compete with the EU, Germany included, and with any other country, for all business. Brexit will revitalise this country.

LIAM FOX IS RIGHT TO DISAGREE WITH HAMMOND

Hammond the smoothie hasn't got a clue, nor does he have the belly.  We can negotiate deals now so that when 2019 comes we will be in a position to implement them immediately. No need for a time-wasting wait in no-man's land.  The Government and workers together will restore British industry. Germany, here we come!!

Friday, 28 July 2017

MR HAMMOND, THE GERMANS ARE TREMBLING IN THEIR BOOTS

Mr Hammond, we will lose all the advantage if you extend the Brexit period.  We shouldn't reveal our hand to the EU, and in particular to the Germans. It would be better to get out now, knowing what we want.  The 26 countries of the EU will take longer than anyone imagines to sort things out.  In the meantime we will suffer because business will not know where it stands.  We could beat the Germans at their own game.  The EU will slowly but surely grind them down.  We would be nimble and travel without the shackles of the EU.

Tuesday, 25 July 2017

WHY AREN'T WE BUILDING OUR OWN ELECTRIC CARS?

Various Governments allowed the sale of our car industries to foreigners.  This resulted in loss of skills.  We became merely assemblers.  For example, the electric motor and controls of the new mini is to be designed and built in Germany. The production of the body parts is less technical and could easily be switched to another country. So don't be fooled by the bull of the politicians. We need to press ahead with our own car industry designing and building complete electrified cars. Now is the time to start. Judging by the numbers of cars currently in use on British roads, we have a golden opportunity to beat the Germans before they take over completely.  The Germans are running scared!!!!

THE EU HUFFS AND PUFFS

Barnier and his colleagues may huff and puff and threaten to blow our house down, but that won't shift the British resolve to get out of the EU.   We will be treated respectfully as other nations such as Canada, China and the US. We will not stand for prevarication and delays in getting out.  So Mr Barnier, we don't want any more arguments about how complicated this is going to be.  We just want a simple break.  Keep it simple!  There is no such thing as a cliff edge to worry about.  It is a figment of the imagination.  TRADE WOULD CARRY ON.

STARMER AND CORBYN ARE SCAREMONGERING!

It looks as though the Labour party are going to do it for us - get out of the EU that is.   Starmer and Corbyn are up to no good on their trip to Paris.  They are determined to throw a spanner into the works.  Their intention is to precipitate another general election.  They think they could win with their scaremongering tactics.  But they are deluded.  The British people voted to leave the EU.  That means that they wanted to be independent of the EU, legally, no ifs or buts or maybe's.  Starmer and Corbyn have underestimated the British character.  THEY DO NOT REPRESENT WHAT THE BRITISH WORKER THINKS.

ALMOST EVERY PRODUCT THAT WE BUY IS MADE OUTSIDE THE UK

No wonder we have a massive national debt!!!  It is the result of a short-sighted policy of our Governments.  British companies should be encouraged to manufacture ANY of the products that we import.  I have to ask, why aren't we leading the world in making such products, when we had such a good start?  I am sick of seeing so many German cars, and the multitude of products from the US and China.  Our present lifestyle is totally unsustainable.  We should get out of the EU now, and begin to sort out our own problems.

MAY AND CORBYN ARE BANKRUPT OF IDEAS

Yes, I put them alongside one another.  They are both big spenders. They are both bankrupt of ideas when it comes to inspiring the engineers and scientists of the future.  But they do talk about jobs as if they can be pulled out of the air.  I see no sign of any ideas that will enable us to be an independent great nation again. Engineers and scientists are the main providers of nett prosperity. British engineering or science based companies should never again be allowed to be sold to a foreign organisation. Investment should be placed in new British companies. Like the Japanese, British companies should be supported by Government. Foreign investment should be rejected.

MAY AN ARROGANT WOMAN WHOSE ABUSE GOES UNCORRECTED

May lectures Corbyn, talking down to him, wagging her finger at him, as though she was a teacher and Corbyn a low schoolboy lout.  This abuse is not corrected by the Speaker Berko.  Is he afraid to point-out the abuse to her?  She should take a good look at herself.  She is an awful woman.

ALL NON-BRITISH PEOPLE SHOULD GO BACK TO THEIR COUNTRY OF ORIGIN

With Britain leaving the EU, all non-British people should start to make preparations to go back to their country of origin.   The same applies to British people living abroad.

DAVIS SHOULD BITE THE BULLET AND GET OUT OF THE EU

We should bite the bullet and get out of the EU IMMEDIATELY.  It is obvious that Davis is becoming more and more embroiled in an EU bureaucratic nightmare. We need to start free trade urgently.  Davis should boot the EU into touch.

EU FIRE SAFETY RULES WERE NOT EFFECTIVE IN PROTECTING THE GRENFELL TOWER

PRESUMABLY EU FIRE SAFETY RULES WERE IN FORCE AT THE TIME CLADDING WAS FITTED TO THE GRENFELL TOWER.  EU FIRE SAFETY RULES WERE THUS NOT EFFECTIVE IN PROTECTING THE GRENFELL TOWER - ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF EU BUREAUCRACY.  JUST ONE GOOD REASON TO WALK AWAY FROM THE EU.

IT IS GOING TO COST A FORTUNE TO PUT RIGHT.  CAMDEN COUNCIL'S ESTIMATE OF TWO TO FOUR WEEKS TO REPLACE THE CLADDING ON JUST FIVE TOWER BLOCKS IS WAY TOO LOW.

A US COMPANY ARCONIC SUPPLIED THE CLADDING USED ON THE GRENFELL TOWER.  HOW MANY MORE TOWER BLOCKS WERE FITTED WITH THE SAME PRODUCT?

SLIPPERY PHIL DOESN'T BELIEVE IN THE BRITISH PEOPLE

He thinks jobs will just arrive on our doorstep. And of course he says we should all think about our prosperity.  Mr Hammond take a good look at what the Germans do.  Have they got a balance of payments problem?  German prosperity is built around their engineers.  Why can't we do the same? The British people in the Midlands and the North ask the same question.

ARE THERE NO ATHEISTS LIVING IN COMMUNITIES IN THE UK?

According to the BBC (and the general view), there are no atheists in the UK.  This surely is a discrimination perpetuated by people who have a belief. It is as though atheists do not exist and do not matter.  Religious folk also have to get on with the non religious, which in this country outnumber the former.  The British tradition is modesty.

WE LIVE IN A THIRD-WORLD COUNTRY

Now it has been revealed that we can't even design and build safe tower blocks.  We expect such fires, as occurred in Kensington, in other countries.

I AM VOTING UKIP

I AM GOING TO BE BLOODY MINDED LIKE THE PM AND VOTE UKIP.

MAY HAS SAID NOTHING ABOUT WHAT SHE IS GOING TO DO ABOUT BRITISH INDUSTRY

MAY AND HER CONSERVATIVES HAVE SAID NOTHING ABOUT WHAT THEY ARE GOING TO DO ABOUT BRITISH INDUSTRY.

THAT IS BECAUSE THEY HAVE NEVER DONE ANYTHING, AND HAVE NO INTENTION OF DOING ANYTHING, BUT TO ALLOW THE SALE OF BUSINESSES TO FOREIGN BUYERS.

THUS, SECRETLY, SHE AND HER SMUG CONSERVATIVES TALK THE LANGUAGE OF THE CITY.  BUSINESSES TO THEM ARE MERE COMMODITIES TO BE BOUGHT AND SOLD.

FOR ME, THIS ELECTION IS NOT ABOUT THE NHS, OR SOCIAL CARE, OR SECURITY BUT ABOUT GLOBALISATION AND THE SUBSEQUENT DECLINE IN BRITISH INDUSTRY.

Tuesday, 30 May 2017

MAY'S SHORT NOTICE MAKES THE ELECTION AN ABSOLUTE FARCE

A RUSHED ELECTION!!!  NO-ONE HAS HAD TIME TO WORK OUT ANYTHING!!!  THE
SARCASTIC, CLEVER DICK POLITICAL COMMENTATORS HAVE HAD A FIELD DAY.

MAY DOESN'T DOESN'T DESERVE TO SUCCEED.  SHE AND HER SMUG POLITICIANS HAVE LET-DOWN THE COUNTRY.

WE COULD HAVE DONE WITHOUT THIS DISTRACTION. SHE HAS PLAYED AT POLITICS AND SHE WILL GET HER INTERFERING FINGERS BURNT.  THIS IS POLITICS ON THE BACK OF A FAG PACKET.

CAN SHE BE RELIED UPON IN NEGOTIATIONS WITH THE EU?  NO SHE CANNOT!!!  SHE WILL NEGOTIATE AS THOUGH WE HAD NEVER LEFT THE EU.

WILL SHE GO AGAINST HER WORD?  YES SHE WILL!!!  JUST AS SHE DID WHEN SHE SAID THAT THERE WOULD NOT BE AN ELECTION.

THE NEW YORK TIMES WAS RIGHT TO PUBLISH THE INFORMATION ABOUT THE MANCHESTER BOMBING

The police, MI5 and MI6 want to keep all the information about proven terrorists to themselves. They are just protecting their jobs at the expense of human lives, and ultimately the British taxpayer.  Yet they seek the public's help. The American newspapers have got it right - publish and be damned.

Wednesday, 24 May 2017

A KNOWN PROVEN TERRORIST SUSPECT - WHAT WERE THE AUTHORITIES DOING?

Clearly the authorities slipped up.  We can't rely on the police or MI5 or MI6 any more.  They should tell everyone about known terrorist suspects who have proven links to terrorist groups. This information must be available to the public.
They want the public to help. But how can the public help if it doesn't know what to look for, that is before it is too late.  These suspect terrorists should be named and shamed.  No more 'experts' telling us what may or may not be in the minds of the authorities.

Would this bombing have occurred if the public had had the information about the bomber that was withheld by the police?  The police did nothing, but sat on their hands.

UKIP THE ONLY PARTY WHO WILL GUARANTEE EXIT FROM THE EU

If Labour win the election, the negotiations with the EU will be such that, in effect, we never left. Even if they don't win, they could make it very awkward for the Conservatives.  It seems to me, that May calling for an election, may well backfire on the Conservatives.  The Liberal Democrats are going to back Labour.

The Conservatives want us to leave the EU. But they may well be prevented from doing what they want if there is a large Labour vote.  Whichever party wins the election, the negotiations would be, in effect, such that we never left.  You can see it coming.  The establishment politicians are going to mess up in one way or another.

The only party that could prevent this is UKIP.  It should stick to it's original message.

BEING FRIENDLY TOWARDS RUSSIA - TRUMP WAS RIGHT

Politics aside, one has to consider the Russian people.  Sanctions should be removed.

Tuesday, 28 February 2017

THINKING ON OUR FEET

A good work person can think on his/her feet, adapting to each situation as it arises.  That seems to be the general attitude of Britons facing independence from the EU.  No gloom and doom debating what we are going to get out of the EU!  We are beginning a fight which could take 20 years to get back to where we once were.  The politicians and the media and other gas-bags don't understand this attitude.

Saturday, 11 February 2017

TRUMP IS RIGHT TO WANT TO LIMIT IMMIGRATION

Trump needs to act quickly to limit immigration from countries which pose a threat.  Indeed he should limit immigration from all countries, and not allow the uncontrollable floods of immigrants into his country that we see today.  Otherwise, one can see big trouble ahead.  Even if it means the global Companies and Institutions have their wings clipped, he should do it. There are too many crazy people around.  If nothing happens, the US could become unstable, a massive security risk to other countries, and the next country to see war from within.  The US seems to be sleepwalking into oblivion.  It is time to wake up to what is happening to your country.

WHY BRITAIN WILL DO WELL WHEN WE LEAVE THE EU

One reason is that so far, at least, we have maintained our borders pretty well.  This must be reassuring to investors in this country. There have been no major terrorist incidents for a number of years.  Germany is learning. But they have let in a million refugees and will have trouble for a long time.  Mrs Merkel will live to regret that decision.  And the Europeans have free movement between countries.  As Trump has highlighted, no border control means no country.

Tuesday, 31 January 2017

The ARABS

The Arabs just cannot sort themselves out. They are all at war with one another.  They have corrupted many parts of the world with their very corrosive and false religion. The West cannot do anything.  Russia will fail just as it did in Afghanistan.  No wonder Trump wants to wash his hands of the whole thing. The globalist multinationals have caught a right cold.  They couldn't care less about how many terrorists the West lets in.  If the US wanted to, it could stand alone, not relying on any other country for anything.

Until the Arabs learn to be fair-minded and behave themselves, western peoples will oppose them and not accept them. I don't see why anyone should wear clothing that says I am religious, no matter what their faith is. This is more or less the British way of doing things. Religious belief should be kept private.  The the archbishop of Canterbury should wear normal clothing.  Everyone should fit-in.

How about if the boot was on the other foot - we were being persecuted and fleeing? Would Arab countries welcome us?  Why do you think Britain voted to leave the EU?  And where would we be if the remainers had one more vote in the referendum than the leavers. Things would have continued with hardly a word from the leavers, and Cameron would be in power. But the remainers have behaved like spoiled brats. The leavers did understand what leaving the EU meant.

HURRAH FOR TRUMP!!!

With Labour, Liberals, and S. Nationalists baying for her blood, Mrs May should take encouragement from what Donald is doing. Because if she doesn't, UKIP will arise.

Tuesday, 24 January 2017

MRS MAY WOULD LOVE TO PLAY TRUMP'S CARDS

Trump gives orders to willing servants and signs edicts, all for American workers.  Oh the power!!!  He can do what he likes, and it doesn't look bad at all.

But here the Judges have decided - they have passed the buck.  They live in a London bubble too. And all the members of Parliament will do their best to throw a spanner into the works.

NO RULES - JUST AGREEMENTS WITH INDIVIDUAL COUNTRIES

When one investigates one finds that the WTO is another massive continental bureaucracy based in Switzterland.  We would be jumping out of the frying pan into the fire.  In this respect, things would be no different from EU membership.  The fat-cat lawyers would hold business up in more ways than one.  If this is what Governments do, then I would rather be out of it altogether.  Trade should be free from hindrance.

Wednesday, 18 January 2017

MRS MAY WTO RULES APPEAR SO SIMPLE

Apparently WTO rules are so simple.  We apply 10% to exports.  Those who import apply 10% to their goods.  This uncomplicated system is exactly what businesses want.  No need to pay expensive negotiators!  SOUNDS TEMPTING!

IF MAY WANTS TO REFORM THE NHS SHE SHOULD START WITH THE DOCTORS

All doctors are trained to invade the human body as though it is a machine!  They dish out pills, cut and chop.  When was the time that you were given any guidance on lifestyle, nutrition and exercise? I have never been given any advice, and doubt that doctors are capable of giving it.  Treatment becomes a matter of healing yourself.  Most doctors are sick of their job and can't wait to take early retirement, or they earn sufficient doing one or two days a week.  I think that the drug philosophy behind their practices is to blame for their their low morale. They simply wait for the body to break down and then try to patch it up. On the rarest occasion when I visit a GP I always take a careful look at the doctor to see how well they look.  They don't exactly inspire.

I wonder why every Christmas period the NHS is bogged down with work and then in the Spring and Summer we hear nothing.  It wouldn't be because we have all been abusing our bodies with too much alcohol, meat, carbohydrate and sugary foods would it, lowering our immunity?  There is certainly correlation between a bad diet and illness.  Most people do not understand what a good diet is, and that includes doctors.

The NHS is a broken philosophy. It needs reform starting with the training of doctors who should be taught nutrition, exercise and lifestyle as the means to a healthy body and mind. Only then will we see a fall in demand on the NHS.

IF MAY WANTS TO REFORM MENTAL HEALTH SHE SHOULD START WITH THE PSYCHIATRISTS

Why is it that murders and suicides are frequently perpetrated by people who have thought problems? And when one digs a little further one finds that they are being treated by drugs under a psychiatrist.

The psychiatrists are completely unscientific. They claim to know what they are doing. But they do not understand what they are doing to the human brain when they prescribe anti-psychotic drugs.  They live in a bubble protected by law.

The drug Companies who manufacture
anti-psychotic drugs are equally to blame because even they do not fully understand what the drugs do.  The drugs cause permanent damage to the brain and body.

Monday, 9 January 2017

MAY WANTS TO REFORM MENTAL HEALTH (SHE SHOULD READ WHAT MONCRIEFF AND BREGGIN THINK)

Joanna Moncrieff is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Mental Health Sciences at University College London, and is a practising psychiatrist.  She is the author of a book The Myth of the Chemical Cure - A Critique of Psychiatric Drug Treatment, and The Bitterest Pills.  I quote from these books.  I also quote from a book by Peter Breggin: Brain Disabling Treatments in Psychiatry, published in 2008.  He is a psychiatrist in the US.

Moncrieff (page 237):
Psychiatric drug treatment is currently administered on the basis of a huge collective myth; the myth that psychiatric drugs act by correcting the biological basis of psychiatric symptoms or diseases.  We have seen that for the three main classes of drugs used in psychiatry there is no evidence to substantiate this view.  Instead, the evidence suggests that these drugs induce characteristic abnormal states that can account for their so-called therapeutic effects.

Moncrieff is referring to what she calls her 'Disease-Centered Model', as distinct from her 'Drug-Centered Model'(see page 8 of her 2013 book The Bitterest Pills).  She sees her 'Drug-Centered Model' as perfectly acceptable (see page 18 of the same book).  She implies that the 'Drug-Centered Model' justifies her use of drugs.  This is very muddled, illogical and unscientific thinking.  By contrast, Breggin regards these models as false and does not distinguish between them, and neither should Moncrieff. He has never prescribed anti-psychotic drugs, except to withdraw someone from drugs.  For his treatments he employs caring and psychology.

Breggin (page 1):
All psychiatric treatments - drugs, electroshock, and lobotomy - work by disrupting the function of the brain and mind, creating effects that are then interpreted (or misinterpreted) as improvements.  Medication spellbinding is a brain-disabling effect that renders individuals unable to perceive the degree of their drug-induced impairment and causes individuals not to attribute any change in themselves to an adverse drug effect and often makes individuals believe they are doing better than ever, when they are doing worse; and in the extreme, drives them into compulsive activities that harm themselves and others.

Moncrieff (page114):
There is now clear evidence from MRI studies that both older and newer neuroleptic drugs cause atrophy of the brain within a year.  In addition, long-term treatment is associated with the development of a condition, tardive (persistent) dyskinesia (TD), characterised not only by involuntary movements, which may be relatively trivial in themselves [they are not trivial], but also by generalised cognitive decline and possibly by other behavioural indications of brain dysfunction.  The implications of this scenario should not need spelling out.  The long term use of neuroleptic or antipsychotic drugs appears to damage the brain.  Since we know that some cases of tardive dyskenesia are permanent, this damage may not always be reversible on stopping the drug.  The evidence points to the possibility that the use of these drugs has created an epidemic of iatrogenic [due to treatment] brain damage, as Peter Breggin and other voices in the wilderness have been suggesting for a long time.

Breggin (Page 64)
Jeste et al. (1993), in an ongoing prospective study, found that 26% of middle-aged and elderly patients developed TD (tardive diskinesia) after 12 months.  Reviewing the literature on neuroleptic withdrawal, the authors found "that almost 60% withdrawn from neuroleptics did not relapse over a mean period of 6 months."  They concluded, "It seems feasible to discontinue neuroleptic medication from a select population of older schizophrenic patients, if it is done carefully with adequate monitoring and follow-up."  They also experimented with brief 2-week placebo-substituted withdrawal in their own group of patients, both younger and older patients, and found it relatively benign;  none relapsed or required resumption of neuroleptics.  They concluded, "Given the heightened risk of TD in older patients, it seems that a trial of neuroleptic withdrawal is warranted in this population."  I (Breggin) would add that the same is true for ALL ages: Take as many as possible off these drugs.

If a trial period of withdrawal is merited in middle-aged and older patients, then Breggin is right to say it is valid for anyone whatever their age.  In fact Breggin would refuse to start someone taking neuroleptic drugs.

On page XII of her book The Bitterest Pills, Moncrieff says: that antipsychotic drugs are "toxic chemicals that change the way the body functions" and "modify normal processes of thinking and feeling"; that in the 1980s the drug companies launched a new range of antipsychotics "with the mantra that the drugs help to reverse a 'chemical imbalance' or stop an underlying process of neuro-degeneration".  Moncrieff rejects this disease-centered model. (See page 8 of The Bitterest Pills) but uses her Drug-Centered Model.

Moncrieff admits that she has difficulty with language such as terms like 'mental illness', 'patient', 'treatment', 'antipsychotic'.  I can't think why she doesn't go the whole hog and use more real terms with a human touch, like breakdown, client, helping a person with unusual thoughts, and drug.  The trouble is that she is a lecturer at London University teaching students. She is thus forced into teaching the disease-centred 'model' as well as the drug-centred 'model'.  (See page 8 of her book The Bitterest Pills).  Unlike her American counterpart, Peter Breggin, she has her feet in two philosophies. She should get out of the University, and start to practise in a similar fashion to Breggin with a kinder non-drug approach.  Although she warns against the dangers of drugs, she is a supporter of the drug-centered 'model'.  Giving such mixed messages, the drug companies must love her.  WHAT SHE SHOULD BE THINKING IS THAT BOTH 'MODELS' DON'T 'MODEL' ANY PROCESS.  THEY ARE BOTH UNSCIENTIFIC WITH NO TEST TO JUSTIFY THEM.  SHE WAS WRONG TO DESCRIBE THE TWO APPROACHES OR WAYS AS 'MODELS'.  AND SHE SHOULD PROCLAIM THE THIRD WAY TO HER STUDENTS; THE BREGGIN WAY.
Breggin in his long years of practise (he is 77) has never prescribed drugs to help a client with thought difficulties, and has never had a case of suicide, has been an expert witness in many court cases, and talks to clients as his therapy.  If Moncrieff knows that by following the drug-centered way, she damages precious brains that have taken millennia to evolve, why on earth does she persist in holding to it?  She probably cites Breggin more than any other psychiatrist. Why doesn't she listen to him, and follow him?

Breggin (Page 25)
Although the fact seems to have been lost on most medication prescription writers, the dopamine-blocking capacity of all the newer antipsychotic drugs means that their adverse effects will include the worst effects of the older neuroleptics, including the production of tardive dyskinesia and neuroleptic malignant syndrome...... It also helps to account for their primary effect of deactivation.   In addition, the newer antipsychotic drugs pose even greater risks of causing potentially life-threatening disorders, including marked obesity, elevated cholesterol, and potentially lethal diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and pancratitis.
Breggin (Page 52)
There is now general agreement that mild to severe depressions that may lead to suicide may happen during treatment with any depot [long-acting intramuscular] neuroleptic (antipsychotic drug), just as they may occur during treatment with any oral neuroleptic.

The psychiatrists play with fire.

Breggin (Pages 2-4 - Four Brain-disabling Principles)
1.All bio-psychiatric treatments share a common mode of action:  the disruption of normal of normal brain function.
2.All bio-psychiatric interventions cause generalized brain dysfunction.
3.Bio-psychiatric treatments exert their therapeutic effect by impairing higher human functions, including emotional responsiveness, social sensitivity, self-awareness or self insight, autonomy, and self-determination.  More drastic effects include apathy, euphoria and mania, and lobotomy-like indifference.
4.Each bio-psychiatric treatment produces its essential or primary brain-disabling effect on ALL people, including normal volunteers, and patients with varied psychiatric diagnoses.

Breggin (Page 67)
Physicians understandably find it painful to face the damaging effects of their treatments.  Too often, it is difficult for them to confront the damage done to patients by other physicians as well. In addition, physicians may consciously seek to protect themselves or their colleagues from criticism or malpractice lawsuits by failing to acknowledge or to record obvious symptoms of TD.  I have seen many hospital and and outpatient records in which obvious, severe cases of TD have gone either unrecognized or undocumented, sometimes by several physicians in succession.  For example, the nurse's notes may make clear that the patient is in constant motion, yet the doctor's physical examination or progress notes will give no indication of the disorder (i.e. the physicians are careful to avoid the responsibility for their actions).  Even official discharge summaries may fail to record TD in patients who have been demonstrating the disorder throughout the period of hospital or clinic treatment.  Even when the TD diagnosis has been made during the hospitalization and can be found buried inside the chart, the diagnosis may not be put in the discharge summary, even though it is critical for for future physicians to be warned about the patients condition in order to avoid further exposure to neuroleptics.  This denial of the obvious is mirrored within the profession itself, which has been very remiss in recognizing or emphasizing the seriousness of the problem (for an analysis of this history of denial, see Breggin, 1983b; Brown et al., 1986; Cohen et al., 1990; Wolf et al., 1987).

Breggin (Page 72)
Fatigue to the point of exhaustion almost always accompanies tardive disorders of any severity.  Patients often become exhausted by the movements, by the effort to hide them, and by increased difficulty associated with carrying out daily activities.  The primary impact on the brain itself may also produce fatigue.  Although the disorders tend to disappear in sleep, they can make it difficult to fall asleep, adding to the exhaustion.  Having to contend with the physical pain associated with tardive akathisia (inner torment) and with tardive dystonia  (muscle spasms) can also wear a person down.  Because of the fatigue, as well as any motor disabilities, patients are often unable to continue working.  Many give up recreational activities, such as bike riding, walking and swimming.  As a result they gain weight and feel sluggish.

Breggin (Page 54)
In conclusion, the neuroleptics cause an enormous amount of physical and emotional suffering, including anguish and and psychosis.  Frequently, the drugs produce a feeling of deadness and depression, AND THEY CAN CAUSE SUICIDE.  Often the suffering is associated with extrapyramidal reactions, such as parkinsonism, dystonia, and akathisia.  The result in most cases is a profound state of iatrogenic (caused by the treatment) helplessness and denial. The patient is emotionally devastated without realizing what has happened.  Many times the patient becomes spellbound, failing to recognize their degree of impairment, failing to attribute their mental collapse to the drug, sometimes believing they are doing better when they are in fact worse, and on occasion, especially when driven by akathisia, committing compulsive suicide, or violence.

Breggin (Page 67)
It is difficult to determine the total number of TD cases.  Van Puten (as cited in Lund,1989) estimated 400,000-1,000,000 in the United States.  My own earlier estimate is higher, ranging in the several millions (Breggin, 1983b).  It is no exaggeration to call TD a widespread epidemic and possibly the worst medically induced catastrophe in history.

Conclusions

1.The diseases or adverse effects, erroneously called side effects, caused by antipsychotic drugs, are usually ignored by psychiatrists.

2.Diagnosis is dangerously SUBJECTIVE at the discretion or whim of psychiatrists.

3.All diseases of antipsychotic drugs appear to have a common root cause, the so-called theropeutic effect, that is the blocking of HEALTHY dopamine from HEALTHY receptors in the brain.

4.The drug-centered 'model' and the disease-centered 'model' are defunct.  Whichever you are ruled by will lead to the same irreparable damage of brains.  Both are unscientific without a diagnostic test, unrelated to the symptoms, which rely on the use of powerful drugs to numb the brain by blocking dopamine.

5.So what can anyone do to fight the evil system of powerful drug companies and psychiatrists, nurses who do the psychiatrists bidding, and a legal profession content to go along with the psychiatrists, all under the protection of the Mental Health Act?

MAY'S SHARED SOCIETY - YET MORE VAGUE GOBBLEDYGOOK

It is almost as vague as your previous idea of "coming together", let alone Brexit means Brexit.  So what do you want shared and who do you want to share it with?  You are talking so much rubbish, rubbish, rubbish!!!

What the country needs right now is action not mere words.  Spell it out!!!  Tell the EU and the rest of the world what we are going to do in leaving the EU?  And even better, what are you doing about it now?

Sunday, 1 January 2017

MADAME MAY HASN'T GOT THE MESSAGE

Brexit is not about compromise trying to please everyone, which is what May is doing with her appeal for the nation to come together.   She shows the hesitancy of a politician who wishes to preserve her position.  Mrs May you are making a mess of Brexit and you need to be like Putin, assertive, with the EU and the country.  We are not interested in the "best deal", crawling on bended knees to Europe and other compromisers who would betray us.  Make Brexit simple.

THE EU IS ABOUT GLOBALISATION

It is not about enriching its members.  The EU allows foreign Companies to buy-up all the businesses which are then in the hands of a few who are highly paid.  The  EU promotes globalisation.  It brings profits for a few, and impoverishment for the many.  So what is going to happen to your job, and your pride in it? The country will finish up full of low paid unskilled people.

THE RAPE OF UK BUSINESS BY THE AMERICANS AND CHINESE - BREAK THE GIANTS UP

Taking a leaf out of Trump's book, what about the damage to the UK by American Companies?  So master Trump, cast the beam out of your own eye. And the same goes for China.

The Internet
Amazon
Microsoft
Google
Kentucky Fried Chicken
Toys R Us
Rank Xerox
Apple
Facebook
McDonald's
Coca-Cola
To name a few!

Large Companies should be broken-up!!!!!  It should be legally possible for governments to do this.  Instead of growing into ever bigger monsters Companies should be cut down to size!!!!!  It isn't just about jobs.  It is about valuing human beings and their endeavour.

Trump has pandered to American workers just to get their vote.  He will betray them and in doing so will betray us.  He is really about big business and globalisation despite his rhetoric.

I will believe Trump the tramp when he gives away ALL his money.

THE HOUSING SHORTAGE - PEOPLE ARE THICK

We are not building enough houses and that is why young people can't get on the housing ladder.  Right?  No Wrong.  There are too many people coming to this country (600,000 at the last count) that builders just cannot keep pace.

And we do not want Chinese designed buildings here.  I am sick of everything Chinese.

10 YEARS TO BE CLEAR OF THE EU - REALLY?

This is according to the UK ambassador to the EU.  How ridiculous!!!

Get out now.  We cannot continue in this vein.  Tell the EU we are leaving.  Let Companies negotiate between themselves.

Trump is right about doing deals.  It is better to focus on deals than warfare in whatever form.

I am sick of hearing the lurid language that the so-called hard brexit will be like falling off the edge of a cliff.  Set up deals with other nations outside the EU.  Then we could wipe the smirk off the EU bureaucrat's faces and they would be obliged to change their tune.  This would be an easy Brexit.

BUREAUCRATIC TO GET IN AND BUREAUCRATIC TO LEAVE

It took years of costly bureaucratic negotiation to agree terms after the Ted Heath took us into the EU. Now after saying that we want to leave the EU, there will be more years of time wasting, costly bureaucracy to negotiate our way out. Bureaucracy is what the EU is all about.  Why do we stand paralysed and blinded like rabbits in the headlamps of a car?

THE COUNTRY HAS DECIDED TO LEAVE THE EU

THE COUNTRY VOTED TO LEAVE THE EU.  WE ARE NOW SEEING A LOAD OF GAS-BAGS ATTEMPTING TO SPOIL THIS.  I SEE NOTHING WRONG IN THE GOVERNMENT OBEYING THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE AND TRIGGERING ARTICLE 50 NOW.

THE EU HAS REVEALED ITS NEGOTIATING POSITION.  "THERE WILL BE NO CHERRY PICKING PARTICULARLY WITH REGARD TO ITS FOUR FUNDAMENTAL PRINCIPLES." THAT IS ENOUGH TO SAY TO THE EU, GOODBYE.  WHY DO WE EVEN HAVE TO START NEGOTIATION?

GO ON MRS MAY TAKE A LEAF OUT OF DONALD'S BOOK.  SAY WE HAVE LEFT THE EU. IF WE CONTINUE AS WE ARE, WE COULD BE IN NO MAN'S LAND FOR AN INDEFINITE PERIOD.

THE WEAK-KNEED WHO WANT TO MAKE A MESS OF BREXIT

The recent by-election result in Richmond was an anti-Brexit vote by people who are quite comfortably off thank you very much "so please don't disturb our way of life".

The only way we are going to find out our weaknesses and strengths is to get out of the EU now.  We have to start again, and become as independent as possible.  The anti-Brexit vote of Richmond was an anti-British "I don't believe in Britain" vote.

600,000 IMMIGRANTS - HOW IMBECILIC CAN THE POLITICIANS GET?

The politicians have just about ruined this country.
They should put up the barriers to further immigration immediately.

They should get us out of the EU now.

I do not want to see the character of this country changed any more.

People (British people) must be leaving this country in droves.

You will be out at the next election if you carry on as you are, whether  Labour or Conservative or Liberal Democrat.

ALL CURRY'S PRODUCTS ARE MADE ABROAD

Most people wandering into Curry's at this time of year may be looking for a bargain.  They never ask where is the product made?  99 times out of 100 the answer would be NOT IN THE UK.  The story is repeated across the nation in every imaginable business.  We need to get manufacturing and encourage British business for Britons.

Trump has got himself the presidency falsely, by declaring his support for the American worker.  I very much doubt that he is sincere.  But his campaign message was correct.  If ever there was a need for trade barriers it is now.

My daughter bought a trolley for her eight month old baby for Christmas.  You would have thought that someone in this country could have made such a product.  It was designed in America.  You can guess where it was manufactured, and it wasn't in the UK.

The rich get richer and the poor get poorer because of globalisation.  The JAMS may just about manage.  But there are many today who are not managing at all.  Strangely, May and her confidant Hammond don't have anything to say about those.

HAMMOND THE OXFORD SMOOTHIE

Did you see Hammond this morning standing in front of high-tech equipment in Gloucestershire, being fed questions that he had pre-prepared answers to, and occasionally looking down at his notes? I don't like Hammond being in charge of our finances.  This Remainer is such a slimey, slippery character. He is not for Brexit.  All his talk of soft and hard Brexits and that it will cost us 50 billion to leave the EU is just unpredictable rubbish.  He talks about boldness.  What would give certainty is a BOLD decision to leave the EU NOW.  No pratting about Mr Hammond!!!

We must get back to a manufacturing and agricultural economy, making things for ourselves and growing food for ourselves.

THE NATIONAL DEBT = £122 BILLION = £122.000.000.000 = £122.000 MILLION

Never mind all this talk about balancing the books.  We are supposed to say well done Mr Hammond. He is a sickly smooth operator.  How on earth are we ever going to rid ourselves of this vast debt? One government after another has squandered our freedom and that of our descendants.  If ever interest rates increase to what a few years ago were usual levels, we are in deep trouble.  Where has all this money gone?  It has gone on the globalist rich at the expense of the poor.  We are at grave risk.  We must get out of the EU fast before we are dragged down.

POOR STANDARDS OF CHINESE IMPORTED GOODS

So Mrs May wants to involve the Chinese in our Nuclear Industry, when we are already overwhelmed by shoddy Chinese goods that do not meet our Standards.  It doesn't bear thinking about.  They are sold on low price so that a few can become rich.  Now more often than not, goods made in China are the only ones available.  Goods displayed in shops often do not show the country of origin.  Fridges and freezers sold by Curry's are a typical example.

Here are a few examples of cheap goods which I bought recently.  Bulbs that require the terminals to be filed to fit in their sockets.  'Long-lasting' bulbs that fail given the slightest knock.  A floodlight with two lights, one of which did not work.  A torch with a wire disconnected where it should have been soldered. The unreliability of these products are undermining what we have been used to with our standards.  I always look at the box to see where a product was made.   Invariably that product was made in China.

Is this what May means by trading with the Chinese?  We sell Jaguars to them.  They get away with products that do not meet our standards.

If the Chinese can't make reliable bulbs, how can we trust them with a nuclear power station?????

TRUMP THE CHUMP AND HIS HANGERS ON

How on earth anyone is going to deal with Trump the Chump, and his family of hangers on, I do not know.   He and his family make me feel sick. I cannot respect him.  He gives me the creeps. This man is so ignorant.  Wait for more gaffs.  He says one thing and does another.

I have to ask will it be any good looking to the U.S.?  Has the U.S. got the president it deserves?

GLOBALISATION - A FAILED DREAM

It has made a few rich.  The middle classes and the poor it has sent empty away.  It has destroyed indigenous industries.  The natural heritage and pride of people has been taken away and sold to conglomerates.  Control is in the hands of large financial institutions in major capitals. These are controlled by individuals who are paid vast salaries.

The question facing politicians is how do you reverse this?  Nationalisation?

WHAT WAS THE BREXIT VOTE REALLY ABOUT? - GLOBALISATION

The problem is the same here as in the US.  Traditional industries have been closed.  The work has gone abroad.  Factories are left empty.  Foreign companies sell products originally designed and manufactured in this country back to us.  The Brexit vote was all about British pride and British jobs.

Mrs May is wasting her time trying to sell financial and legal services to the Indians.  She has so obviously been brainwashed by her husband. The Indians simply want to come here in exchange for something which they are quite capable doing themselves.   Globalist Dyson thinks we should welcome them, especially their students and graduates.   They both reveal their bankrupt thinking and that they have a low opinion of British design and engineering.   May and Dyson are both wrong.

CUTTING THE GORDIAN KNOT - GETTING OUT OF THE EU - 'FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE WOMAN, GO'

Gordian knot - a term used to resolve a complicated problem by bold action.  The Encyclopedia Britannica has: "In 333 bc, Alexander the Great, on his march through Anatolia, reached Gordium, the capital of Phrygia. There he was shown the Chariot of the ancient founder of the city, Gordius, with its yoke lashed to a pole by means of an intricate knot with its end hidden. According to tradition, this knot was to be untied only by the future conqueror of Asia. In the popular account, probably invented as appropriate to an impetuous warrior, Alexander sliced through the knot with his sword, but, in earlier versions, he found the ends either by cutting into the knot or by drawing out the pole. The phrase “cutting the Gordian knot” has thus come to denote a bold solution to a complicated problem."

NO MORE DILLY-DALLYING.  NERO IS SAID TO HAVE FIDDLED WHILE ROME BURNED. BUSINESS NEEDS TO KNOW WHERE IT STANDS. IT CANNOT WAIT FOR BUREAUCRATS AND POLITICIANS TO GRIND OUT A SOLUTION.  'FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE WOMAN, GO'.

WTO RULES BECKON.

THE RESULT OF YEARS OF QUANTITATIVE EASING

After years of quantitative easing everyone is wondering why the pound has fallen heavily in value. It doesn't take much imagination to realise why.  All this time the Bank of England has been lowering the value of the pound in our pockets.  It has been devaluing the pound by stealth.   At the same time the Bank of England has artificially kept interest rates at rock bottom. This is the economics of the madhouse.  We are now beginning to pay the real price of having cheap money.  The Bank of England has artificially interfered with the economy.  The government should take control of the Bank and restore a more traditional level of interest.

Brexit is not to blame!!!

THE CONSERVATIVES ARE STILL THE SAME

They have reverted to type, or rather they haven't changed.  Corbyn has more imagination than May in his little finger, as have some of the other parties like the Greens. The conservatives are dishing out the same old politics.  Why oh why can't we just cut loose from the EU for the sake of everyone in this country, for the sake of the people in the EU, and the people in the rest of world? These old dinosaurs just cannot abide by a decision. All this talk about being cautious is so much rubbish. Conservatism defines itself by its hesitancy, delay, and anti-British attitude.

In the end, globalism is anti-British.  It reflects a lack of trust in British engineering.

MAY THROWS BRITISH ENGINEERING DOWN THE DRAIN AGAIN - HINKLEY POINT

She has not been single-minded about British Engineering, but caved-in to Chinese and French pressure. With such a large project one can certainly predict the outcome.  Costs will inevitably grow and the taxpayer and consumers will foot the bill.

Whatever one's views are about nuclear power, this was a vote of NO CONFIDENCE in British Engineering.

Jobs are not the priority.  British Engineering is. When are these dumb politicians going to realise it?

The people should decide.

MAY'S PLAN FOR BREXIT - NO PLAN

May said today that she would keep her plans secret and not reveal her negotiating hand.  There will be no running commentary.  Well that leaves me thinking that she is bereft of any plans.

I DESPAIR OVER MAY, DAVIS, JOHNSON AND FOX

I am very shocked at the slow response of these people to Brexit.  They really don't know where the country is going.

ACCORDING TO LIZ NICHOLL WE ARE A SPORTING SUPERPOWER

It is no surprise that the language of politics has entered the sports arena.  As a so-called sports superpower we have won more medals than China.  Isn't that great?   Medal tables should be abolished.  They are political propaganda.

The commentators fawn at the feet of winners in adulation. They make me sick.  Losers are forgotten, hardly ever  acknowledged or thanked for taking part.  Winners take all.

The Olympic games should be abandoned.  They are too expensive for one country to put on.  The legacy is a number of stadiums in a capital city favouring the people who live there.

Far from being an inspiration, they are a bad example to others.  The philosophy is, if you win, you will be famous and rich.  As in football, the values are all wrong.  The very meaning of sport is undermined.  Nowhere is this truer than in the USA where sport is totally controlled by commercial interests.

MR SADIQ KAHN - AN OPPORTUNIST - THE DANGER OF AN ELECTED MAYOR

He has an eye for opportunity.  This came when he put himself forward to be mayor of London knowing that he would have the support of a large ethnic community.  Mr Kahn knows how to win regardless of principles.  Following his success, he now views his domain as his own where he can do and say as he pleases, regardless of what the politicians in Westminster say.  He wants to rule London as a king of an independent enclave of the UK.  The rot has set in.  I don't believe he is a real Labour man at all.  The London electorate have elected a leader of a third front.  I can see the same thing happening in other cities.  It was a bad move to have elected mayors.

After a long delay, Mr Kahn now tells us that he supports Owen Smith for the labour leadership.  He would love to depose the elected leader Jeremy Corbyn, claiming that Jeremy did not shout about Brexit.  And we know how Mr Kahn enjoys shouting as he shouted down other speakers in the referendum debates.

Mr Kahn knows why the country voted for Brexit. The vote was won was because the real labour people and workers wanted Brexit. And Jeremy, the Brexit skeptic, knows that too.

If the whole country could cast its vote on who should be mayor of London, Mr Kahn would be given his marching orders.  So Mr Kahn you shouldn't throw your weight around as though you were President.  You should know your place.

SO LABOUR WANT TO BORROW UP TO 500 BILLION IN ORDER TO 'INVEST'

This is laughable. Smith and Corbyn are competing to be the biggest spender.  If they really want to bankrupt the country then Labour would. This is the politics of the asylum. We will all be poor.  Labour will never be elected with such mad ideas. Tony Benn will turn in his grave.

But May shouldn't gloat over Labour's crazy policy.  She has to think carefully about spending government money (our money) where it will be most effective for British science, technology, and industry.  We must get back to manufacturing.

SAY YES TO A RE-BALANCED ECONOMY

It seems that Brexit has caused a downturn in the service industry.  It's long overdue.  The ratio of industrial activity to service providers has been at the ridiculous level of 1:4.  There are not enough doers and creators and too many spouters and experts talking about the economy.  We have made ourselves very vulnerable to a recession.  And it is why the expenditure on the current Hinkley Point project and HS2 are a waste of resources that should be spread around helping to build British science, technology, industry and exports.  We need to get our act together and think again.

Did you see the Ken Loach documentary?  It depicted his father working in an absolutely massive Coventry factory now wiped from the face of the earth.  The factory was full of machines operated by highly skilled engineers and technicians.  I weep over the destruction of our manufacturing base.

Tuesday, 2 August 2016

SAY NO TO HS2

May should save any money that would have been spent on HS2 (and Hinkley Point) and spend it on a real expansion expansion in industrial output helping British science and technology, British industry and our exports.  We are such a small country that we don't need to whizz about.  The existing rail network is sufficient for us to maintain, and yes expand with better local and intercity services.

SAY NO TO THE HINKLEY POINT JOINT NUCLEAR POWER STATION PROJECT

1. The expenditure is too much to commit to.

2.  We are sharing the initial cost with two other countries who could certainly hold us to ransom in the future.

3.  We have our own engineers and designers with better ideas.

4.  It should be an entirely British project, giving British jobs.

5.  Small, easily repeatable, mass produced stations would give benefits of supplies in the short and long terms.

6. Smaller stations would be easier to finance and deliver on time.

7. Smaller stations would be easier to decommission in a phased fashion.

8. Smaller stations could easily be replaced in a phased fashion without loss of supplies.

9.  Smaller stations could easily be integrated with new forms of supply.

10.  Smaller stations would be easier to phase out all together when other supplies become cheaper.

11.  And finally, why aren't we exporting nuclear stations to the rest of the world, built on time and delivered at the agreed price?

MAY ABUSES CORBYN

At PMQs last week May, with twisted lips, said triumphantly, to Corbyn,  "does this remind you of anybody?"  I didn't know how to take it, and probably Corbyn didn't either.   I wasn't sure if she was referring to Thatcher, Cameron, or Corbyn himself, given that she had mocked Corbyn immediately before.  Here was an opportunity for May to change the political tone, but we had same old abusive politics from the conservatives, as for example when Cameron said to Corbyn, "resign, man!"  Jeremy doesn't do abuse.  The conservatives do.  The abuse is very infectious.

MAY DRAGGING HER FEET

May, so we are having to pay individual lawyers £5000 a day for at least two years.  This is BRUSSELS BUREAUCRACY gone completely MAD.   The lawyers will be laughing all the way to the bank, as will the so-called negotiators who will probably make more.  It is an overhead we can do without.  WHY CAN'T WE SIMPLY SAY TO THE EU, WE ARE NOW OUT.  AND IT IS UP TO YOU WHETHER YOU WANT TO DEAL WITH US?  LET NEGOTIATIONS BE BETWEEN COMPANIES, NOT BETWEEN BUREAUCRATS.

ACCORDING TO MAY WE ARE OPEN FOR TRADE

Er, it seems that we are open for trade, wide open, selling our assets like Arm Holdings, football clubs, power stations all in the name of globalisation.  It will mean jobs, so May says.  But where will the decisions be made? In Japan, China and France of course. But more importantly, where will the money go?  To Japan, China and France of course - all money sucked out of the country.  We are being sold down the river. Presumably, this is supposed to be under trade agreements with the EU.  If it wasn't serious, it would be a big laugh.

May doesn't care.  She has no industrial strategy.   She has no vision of creating a balanced economy between the city and industry.  Plenty of talk, but that's all.
